On this Labor Day, I’m reminded of the pioneers of the 1800s—those who cleared land, forged tools, and built the foundations of communities we still stand on today. Their labor wasn’t just sweat and grit—it was vision, sacrifice, and the belief that what they created could empower the next generation.
Fast forward to today: our “tools” look different. Instead of hammers and plows, many of us work with code editors, software frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. Yet the essence is the same. We build on the knowledge, creativity, and determination of those before us. Each library, framework, or shared piece of documentation is another tool forged for the next wave of builders.
Whether you swing a hammer, craft lines of code, or share knowledge to empower others—your work is part of that ongoing story.
Here’s to honoring the laborers of the past, recognizing the contributions of today, and continuing to build foundations that empower the future.
Happy Labor Day!
